Feminine, glamorous, sweet & pretty - what our homes could look like if he didn't hate pink

Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't trade my man for the world, but sometimes...don't you just want to paint your bedroom pale pink? Or drink your tea out of a gold rimmed cup and saucer everyday? Well, those of us who have to consider the men in our homes when making design choices can live vicariously through these ladies who have the freedom to make their homes as feminine as they like. I swear I can smell the perfume emanating from some of these. Enjoy!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bedroom. Isn't the bed amazing?!? It's from the loft of lingerie designer Jessie Zinkie, who's decorating philosophy is that "...of course, everything must be soft and comfortable."

A beautiful montage from the desk of Jolene Ballard, part of the interior design Domicile ID.

What a sumptuous office chair...who thought an office chair could be sumptuous?

So, turns out a man does share this bed with Jolene. God bless him - I love symmetrical nightstands - but I don't think Chris would tolerate me being so anal for one minute.

Isn't this pretty and sweet mint green bedroom just the epitome of femininity? I had a mint green bedroom at one point and I found the color to be very soothing.

What do you think? Is your home as feminine as you like it or do you have to tone it down for your man?

Gorgeous images, I can definitely relate. The only saving grace is that I have a three year old daughter, who is definitely pink centric. I posted some images of her new bedroom on my blog last week. Kind of a graphic grey and white with accents of pink.

Wow, am I ever lucky! My husband likes pink. It must be a subtle blush for his OK but he does not rule out feminine decor as a rule.

Beautiful rooms! I probably wouldn't paint my house pink, even if I was on my own, but it would be slightly different to what it is now. To begin with, I'd use a lot more scented candles and flowers and mirrors... :) I guess I am lucky, though, because Mr was happy for me to decorate out bedroom and it's totally me (he still likes the results :) )

Ugh, thank you for this post! Seems like my boyfriend and I can't agree on much design-related. I love him and it's totally worth the sacrifice, but it would be nice not to fight tooth and nail for anything the least bit girly. Dreaming of the day when I can have my own home office and go wild!!

Oh everyone has a pink story....my first apartment, I insisted we paint the room a soft pale pink.....well my "soft pale pink" turned out to be Pepto Bismol pink and believe me, I needed a bottle of Pepto Bismol after I came home from work...and saw the color! The ones you featured however are gorgeous....love the soft pale colors. My husband was such a trooper in highsight! Such beautiful rooms...thanks!

I have often told my friends who haven't met their Mr. Right yet how lucky they are when they are shopping and decorating that they can do whatever they want! I wouldn't trade it, but still...:) Beautiful images!
