The beauty of trees

I've had this artist bookmarked for a long time and finally got around to collecting my favorites and posting them for you. I grew up on a large farm which was home to many large old trees. These trees were people to my sisters and I. They had personalities and feelings and I still think about them from time to time - and I hope they're well and around for a very long time. So, of course I was instantly intrigued by Anders Knutsson's prints and paintings of large, old trees. His works are either archival digital prints on paper, pencil on paper, or acrylic on linen

The above is acrylic on linen

Oh how I'd love a trio of his trees!

Wow. These are beautiful! Slightly haunting, but very powerful. And so real!

Beautiful work. The installation of three together is especially effective.

Marvelous art! The trees look so eccentric but beautiful. Love the colors of these arts, well done.

These are really stunning and unique. I've never seen tree images quite like them - they really strip away everything extraneous to distill the personality of each tree.

If you like those, you should check out these tree drawings: http://www.roywright.co.uk/index.htm The artist works in charcoal, mostly large-scale, and highly-detailed.

Anders creates amazing work of art.His trees seem alive with a soul of they very own. These trees they are not just beautiful to look at, they are realistic with a story to tell all of their own, it's like they are talking to you...and I am sure after all those years that they have been around, they must have a lot to say.
